Caretakers workshop for Dagana Dzongkhag

A day workshop for the caretakers of Lhakhang, Goemba, Drubdey, Dzong, Choekhang and Mandir which are owned privately, public, government and La-truel was held on 25th April 2017 in Dagana Dzongkhag. The opening of the workshop was graced by Venerable Lam Neten of Daga Rabdey, Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Drangpon and other sector heads of Dzongkhag Administration. Dagana Dzongkhag has forty three registered Lhakhangs.

A days’ workshop mainly focused on introduction,  identification and its importance of cultural properties, awareness on 2005 Cultural Property Act and CHB 2016, process and procedure of caretakers handing taking, fire and safety measures and introduced a basic on water and butter lamp offerings and its merits, awareness and importance on conservation of cultural properties. Towards the end of the workshop an open Q and A session and awarded with certificates to all caretakers who participated in the workshop.
